The Wedding Blue Book is beyond exited to introduce AW Designs to its couples!
AW Designs is a custom-button and accessory business owned and operated by Anna Withrow. Anna always had fun buttons on her backpack throughout college so when her and her husband moved to Fayetteville for his job, an idea quickly sparked… that idea would lead to the creation of AW Designs. Since starting her business she has created buttons for many events such as game days, bachelorette parties, birthdays, and more!
We at The WBB are personally obsessed with her bachelorette party designs! And, we also think AW Designs custom-made buttons would be neat wedding favor ideas (hint, hint!).
How did AW Designs get started?
With Dalton working for The U of A football team, I would see buttons or stickers with a football players picture or a sorority logo all the time. I wanted my husband to feel just as special so I started creating buttons with his face, etc. This turned into making over 40 game day designs! To keep myself busy while Dalton was working, I’ve ventured out to other fun game day designs, bachelorette designs and birthday designs.
What size are the buttons?
The buttons are 2.25 inches allowing you to wear 2-3 at a time!
Do you help design each button or do brides need provide the graphics?
I like to design the buttons with the bride or bridesmaid. I typically ask for the bachelorette theme or if they have a t-shirt design. We work together to find the perfect design for the occasion.
How far in advance do brides (or bridesmaids!) need to reach out for custom accessories for their bachelorette party?
I would say 5-7 days in advance to come up with a design, make the accessories and have them shipped!
Do you offer more than just custom buttons?
Yes! With buttons, we offer custom retro 34 oz trucker mugs and custom drinking pouches.
What is your current favorite button design that you’ve done to date?
I think the “Let’s Go Girls!” and “Man, I feel like a Bride!” Or the Brides Venmo name to send drink money. 😉
What tends to be the most popular design, wedding related or not?
Right now, Razorback game day! Woo Pig!
So, since you create buttons for bachelorette parties, we’d love to hear about yours!
I actually let my bridesmaids and closest friends pick where we went and they made it a surprise. They surprised me with one of my favorite places ever, Las Vegas! Thursday night, we had dinner in the Cosmopolitan and drinks at The Chandelier Bar. Friday, everyone had a colored wig and matching outfit to their wig. One of my bridesmaids husband use to live in Vegas and was able to hook us up with a table at the Nelly concert! I was in totally shock! Saturday we went shopping and that night to a nice dinner. Of course, Nelly was incredible but I think the highlight of the trip was having some of the most important people in my life all together.
What advice do you have for brides/bridesmaids who are planning their bachelorette party?
Bridesmaids, it can be pricey and not everyone is going to want to all do the same thing but remember who it’s about. You’re party will come too!
Brides, remember to be grateful. Your friends are spending their PTO and money to celebrate you. There are ways to have fun without breaking the bank.
For those who don’t know Anna, her and her husband are an Arkansas wedding couple themselves. They married in February 2022 at The Grandeur House and we will have to definitely share their wedding with you soon!
