In the heart of McPherson, Kansas, two childhood friends, Colleen and Cole, began their journey together. What began as friendship grew to much more leading them to Thorwncrown Chapel.

The chapel’s acoustics and tranquil ambiance created a space where every whispered promise and heartfelt exchange resonated with clarity.

The Floral Elegance

The floral arrangements, designed by Althea Wiles of Rose of Sharon Floral Design Studio, drew inspiration from the rich hues of autumn. Deep burgundy cymbidium orchids, eggplant scabiosa, and three shades of roses created a dramatic cascade for Colleen’s bouquet. The ceremony was adorned with arrangements of golden mums, red spray roses, and blush carnations, framed by the natural beauty of agonis and dollar eucalyptus.

Reception at Cedar Lodge

Following the ceremony, the celebration continued at Cedar Lodge, a venue that perfectly complements the natural beauty of the region. The lodge’s picturesque setting and on-site accommodations allowed the couple and their guests to revel in the festivities throughout the weekend. The reception featured low, elegant centerpieces in gold compotes, reflecting the season’s palette with a touch of sophistication.

A Day to Remember

Colleen reflected on the day with heartfelt gratitude, “We collected almost all of our decor from thrift stores and estate sales, which helped us save money but also added unique touches to our wedding. Althea and her team brought our vision to life beautifully, and the flowers were truly a special part of our day.”
